Deep garnet-colored with a hint of purple, the 2011 The Dead Arm Shiraz has a quite youthful nose revealing intense cassis, plum and mulberry scents with hoisin sauce, Szechuan pepper and an earthy undercurrent.

Medium garnet-colored with a hint of purple, the 2010 The Galvo Garage Proprietary Red is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc that shows evolving aromas of cassis, dried mulberries and earth with hints of sandalwood, cigar boxes and pencil lead plus a touch of bay leaf. Medium-bodied, fresh and showing good concentration, it has a firm structure of chewy tannins and a long finish with an herbal lift.
