Wine Australia will introduce Langton’s Classification to North American trade and media, and take an exciting look at the diversity of Australian fine wine at our annual Winter Trade Tasting in Toronto on 1 February and San Francisco on 3 February 2016.
Langton’s is Australia’s premier wine auction house and their classification includes a list of 139 wines with track records for exceptional quality over at least 10 years.
Events in both cities will kick-off with a Langton’s Classification-themed seminar, presented by Wine Australia’s Global Education Manager Mark Davidson, featuring wines from the most recent Langton’s Classification table.
Mark Davidson is excited to share Langton’s Classification and Australia’s fine wine story through this series of events.
‘Australian wine today is a rich story of diversity and complexity based on a history of fine wine production and interwoven in with evolving styles and varieties and revolutionary attitudes’, Mark said.
‘The Langton’s Classification seminar and fine wine tasting will take a deep dive into Australian fine wine today and I’m excited to share it with North America.’
The seminar will be followed by a tasting of Australian fine wines – selected by Wine Australia – that reflect the fine wine attributes presented in the seminar – regional diversity, individuality and terroir.
This trade show is the biggest annual Australian wine event for trade and media in the San Francisco Bay area, securing ongoing visibility, education and outreach in the US market.
