93 pts Chapter 24 Pinot Noir Willamette Valley 2012
Taut and tangy, with sharp acidity set against ripe cherry, blueberry, black tea and smoke flavors, finishing with intensity. The flavors come together with unusually rich harmony, gaining momentum with every sip. The tannins are well-absorbed, but this needs time in the decanter or the cellar to shake off the cobwebs. Best after 2016
91 pts Leeuwin Estate Chardonnay Margaret River Prelude Vineyards 2012
Lively and inviting, with vibrant passion fruit and pineapple notes dancing against delicate spices. Finishes with intensity. Drink now through 2020.
HOT WINES
