2016 Sunset Magazine International Wine Competition
The 2016 Sunset Magazine International Wine Competition saw 3,000 wines from across the United States and the World competing for top honors. The judging, held at Sunset’s new Cornerstone Sonoma campus on April 25 and 26, was conducted by 50 of the most respected wine experts in the West, led by honorary chairs Joel Peterson, founder and winemaker, Ravenswood; and Sara Schneider, Sunset’s Wine Editor.
Innocent Bystander’s two New Zealand wines, competing for the first time, both came away with Gold Medals. The expansion of the Yarra Valley based brand across the Tasman has already garnered a very positive response by customers and trade alike and two more Golds will make Innocent Bystanders mantle piece even more crowded.
