Leeuwin Estate’s Art Series Chardonnay continued it’s run of being one of Australia’s and the world’s most consistently high scoring white wines with today’s publication of Wine Spectator’s latest scores. High marks were again awarded to Clare Valley producer Kilikanoon for their stunning dry Rieslings with d’Arenberg’s Dry Dam Riesling from the Adelaide Hills scoring an impressive 91 pts.
94 pts Leeuwin Estate Art Series Chardonnay 2012
Amazingly focused, layered and expressive, with pear, lime, guava and floral flavors that meld harmoniously and linger on the creamy finish. Deftly pulls all the elements together into a cohesive whole, lingering effectively and precisely. Drink now through 2022.
92 pts Kilikanoon Mort’s Block Riesling 2013
Light and elegant, floating flavors of pear, peach and citrus on a refined texture. The acidity kicks in on the long finish. Drink now through 2023.
