James Halliday sings the praises of OBC brands once again with the release of the 2015 Australian Wine Companion. Highlights include Penley Estate‘s “best ever red wine,” the 2010 Chertsey Bordeaux blend, a top Chardonnay award to the 2011 Leeuwin Estate Art Series Chardonnay, and a slew of accolades for the wineries themselves.
In Halliday’s system, wines with red names and red stars are the best of the best in the region, achieving consistent excellence. Wines with black names and red stars have achieved excellence over the past three years, and wines with black names and black stars have achieved excellence this year, and in some cases longer.
