Wine Enthusiast Reviews Dobbes’ New Release Whites

Wine Enthusiast Advanced Buying Guide
April, 2015

Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc wines from Oregon continue to offer superb value and the quality is just getting better as the region’s vineyards mature. The Wine Enthusiast agrees in the latest Advanced Buying guide, awarding leading producer Joe Dobbes Wines some nice scores:

89 pts/EDITORS’ CHOICE               Jovino Pinot Gris 2013
Well-defined, crisp and lightly peppery, this estate-grown Pinot Gris carries no hint of oak aging. Tart apple and pear fruit have just the right bite to sail into a sharp and satisfying finish.

89 pts/BEST BUY               Wine by Joe Pinot Gris 2013
Tight and bright, this tasty wine hits the mineral button under tangy lemon flesh and rind. The tart fruit is refreshing, clear and clean through a driving finish.

88 pts    Wine by Joe Pinot Blanc 2013
This wine is for acid lovers. Its tongue-tickling mix of grapefruit and green pineapple is refreshing and clean, with the juicy acidity that sends it directly into the oyster wine category.
